Cruises to Alaska are wonderful, but they it can quickly become one of the most expensive vacations you have ever taken. What if I told you that there was a way to find cheap Alaskan cruises? Would you be interested in finding out how? I bet you would, so read on to find out how you can book a cheap Alaskan cruise.
So, are you ready for your vacation without making a deep hole into your wallet? The best tip to save on such expensive cruises is to be flexible in time. If you have a flexible schedule that allows you to take a vacation without a lot of notice, you can save about 75% on an Alaskan cruise. Cruise lines want their ships to be fully booked. If it is down to on e or two weeks before the cruise will start, you can save up to 75% on your cruise to Alaska simply because the cruise ship wants to have the ship fully booked.
The down side of booking a cruise at the last minute is that you wont have as much time to select what clothes to bring. You wont have the time to run out and buy a whole new cruise wardrobe, but that might actually save you money as well.
The second tip on how to get cheap Alaskan cruises is the right cabin choice. The most expensive rooms on a cruise ship are the ones facing the outside of the ship. You can get a much cheaper cruise price if you are willing to book an inside cabin. This means that you are facing the inside of the ship. It honestly isnt that bad to have an inside cabin because you are almost never in your room. Between the ship activities on board and the excursions that you will be doing on land, you will only be in your cabin when you are sleeping so you wont be missing out on an outside cabin.
You can also book a cruise that only includes the price of your cruise and room. You will have to arrange your own airfare to and from the cruise and you will have to book your own land excursions. This is a way that you can get a cheap Alaskan cruise, but it might not be worth the headaches of booking all of the other things on your own, however, only you will be able to decide whether it is worth the cost savings or not.

Experience a happy blending of cosmopolitan and rustic lifestyle in Negros Occidental, the sugar capital of the country. Celebrate natures blessings: waterfalls, caves, mountains, rivers, springs and valleys. Go hiking and camping, fishing and angling, scuba diving and snorkeling, mountain biking and sky diving with guidance from reliable locals. Travel centuries back in time visiting stately mansions in Silay City, one of the top 25 destinations of the Philippines. Or go on Iron Dinosaurs (steam locomotives) or other special interest tours.
There are varied accommodation and dining facilities from luxurious to simply modest. Rates are reasonable. Whatever you go for, Negros Occidental has it.

IEF HISTORY
Originally known as by its natives. This fourth largest island in the Philippine archipelago was given the name by the Spanish navigators when Esteban de Rodriguez discovered the island in April, 1565 and found its earliest occupants to be dark-skinned natives belonging to the Negrito ethnic group. The natives then, occupied initially most of the southern portion of the province, being Binalbagan and Ilog. Two of the earliest native settlements which officially became towns in 1572 and 1584, respectively. Other settlements were Hinigaran, Bago, Marayo (now Pontevedra), Mamalan (now HImamaylan) and Candaguit.
In 1734, the island became a military district and Ilog became its first capital. Bacolod was made provincial capital in 1849. Then in 1856, Negros Occidental was raised to the category of a politico-military province. During this time, several more towns were established like San Carlos and Calatrava. Other towns were created, particularly Saravia, Escalante and Valladolid (1860) as a result of the growth of Population and the influx of immigrants coming from neighboring provinces such as Iloilo, Antique, Capiz, and Cebu. These growth in population and immigrants brought to the province in turn rapid material growth and development during the later part of the 18th century.
The major boon to the province at this time were two: the cultivation of sugar which brought economic boost as it later led Negros to pioneer other provinces in sugar production with its initial of 4,000 piculs of sugar in 1856 increasing to 2,000,000 piculs in 1897. With this, new machineries such as those operated by steam were used in the towns of Bacolod, Minuluan and Bago. Another boon was the opening of the ports like Iloilo and Cebu to foreign commerce.
During the last decade of the 19th century, several important events may be summarized: one, the making of Negros Occidental as a separate province in 1890. Two, the joining of the Negrense revolutionary leaders in the nationwide Katipunan Movement which overcame the Spanish garrison in the province on November 6, 1898 during one of the Filipinos?revolt against the Spanish rule. Three, the arrival of the Americans in the province in May, 1899 leading to the establishment of a Civil Government in Negros Occidental on April 20, 1901. Fouth, the ousting and surrender of the Japanese Forces in Negros (1945) after both civilian and military leaders in Negros Occidental pursued and organized a free government in the province.
After the upheaval and destruction brought by the first and second world wars, the next years following it, were dedicated to the rehabilitation and reconstructions of various sectors as Industry and Commerce, principally the sugar industry. Following this recuperation period, socio-economic growth in the province ensued.
LANGUAGE/DIALECT
Negrenses, as practically all Filipinos, are poly-lingual. Of the 87 dialects in the country, two Visayan dialects are predominantly used in the province: Ilonggo, which is spoken by 80% to 90% of the populace, and Cebuano which is used by the rest. English, however, is widely spoken; thus the English-speaking visitor will have little or no communication problem at all.
MAJOR INDUSTRIES
Negros Occidental is primarily an agricultural province. Of the total land area of 792,607 hectares, 588,145 hectares are arable land of which appoximately 419,305.084 hectares or 53% are devoted to agriculture.
With diversification as a major provincial development program, new land uses such as more inland fishing, livestock poultry, grains and new crops like coffee, cacao, black pepper, orchards, ramie and others are increasing.
The province of Negros Occidental is reported by the Bureau of Mines to be rich in both metallic and non-metallic mineral resources, notably copper, gold, silver and molybdenum. Among the non-metallic minerals are stones, gravel, and sand and other construction materials, also salt and guano.
The socio-economic life of Negros Occidental from the 1950?s up to the 1980?s depended mainly on sugar, producing annually about 60% of the country?s sugar output. The four corners of the archipelago have focused their wide open eyes and melting mouth to the glory of the Negrenses. Negros is where high living and high eyebrows were. Kevin’s Update From Australia

Metallica’s new album, Death Magnetic has leaked to the torrent community via some illegally pre-sold European copies.
Oh, the sweet irony.
Beyond the angle that one of the most publicly vocal bands against file-sharing is now having their files shared just for the fuck of it by torrent freaks worldwide, this has made me realize something else: My entire opinion of Metallica has been tainted so severely, that I cannot have an opinion about the new album.
I’ve tried.
Logic would tell me that it sucks. That’s how I hear it.
If James Hetfield was even an iota of self-deprecating (We suuuuuuck-ah!), I might not hear it as immediately horrible, and it’s that Metallica seems to be completely serious about releasing another album that sets my neurosis-engorged brain to turning.
I was a huge Metallica fan in middle and high school. They were my introduction to metal, in a certain way. I was listening to Metallica when I went to France, and in France I discovered the first KoRn album, and that got me into Nu Metal, which lead to Metallica and Tool superfandom.
Without trying to sell you on the excuses I whisper to myself late at night to justify this period, I really liked metal. Slipknot, System of a Down, and to a minor degree Stained, since a third alliterative band was needed.
Now, when I hear Stained, I think of visiting Alix when she worked at some sort of store that made smoothies. Stained comes with a taste. Linkin Park comes with an orlfactory memory; some guy sparking a joint during their set at Mile High when Alix and I went to our first Ozzfest. Our FIRST Ozzfest.
Metallica was my first concert. I attended it in the 8th Grade with Tai and his father Pat, our chaperone. It was at a venue called Fiddler’s Green, where the general admission was a hill the stages and seating were built around. The grass had long been trampled, and we picked a spot to generally mill around before Alice and Chains opened. A guy who looked like Stanta Claus, if St. Nick was a biker during the off-season, slapped Pat on the back and said: “Never too old for Metallica.” I was psyched to be there, because it meant I wasn’t at football practice with Mr. Payne, who probably hated Metallica. We had brought along two other guys: Ning and Greg. Greg was also on the football team with me, and might have even worn his jersey to the show until he bought a concert ticket (I might have romanticized this moment and altered my memory). Ning got sucked into a nearby mosh pit during the show, and Pat had to go in and fish him out, because he was a small Asian youth sucked into a his first pit. That’s the kind of guy Ning was.
I liked Metallica so much that I enjoyed both Load AND ReLoad on their own merits. I liked Metallica so much, I coughed up money online to get CD-Rs of burned material. I had to pay one guy twice because the first CD-R had failed in the burning process, as the technology was apt to do at the time. I liked Metallica so much, they were the first band whose logo adorned more than one of my t-shirts. I liked Metallica so much that I had their VHS box-set of tour videos. I liked Metallica so much, I own the Cunning Stunts DVD. Do you even know what that is and what it means about a person?
I mentioned the CD-Rs. Part of the upcoming total-betrayal-by-a-band-I-loved-and-further-disillusions is the specific time period that I was a high school student. Being a high school student is basically my excuse. I’d venture to guess that everyone experiences the existential pressures that come along with high school. You’re not thinking about it directly. When you’re thinking about what you’re going to do after school, what you are really thinking is: “I see myself acting a certain way, and it’s changing. Am I becoming the adult I’m going to be, or am I being someone else so other people will think I’m cool.” Some people answer that question for themselves very early on in high school. Lucky them.
Around this time, I started being in bands, I started listening to more music and – most importantly – I started using technology to make all these things easier. Record on a pirated ACID PRO copy, burn onto CDs, pass around songs, share albums with each other. Napster was big at the time. I think the first CD I saw downloaded from Napster and burnt onto a CD-R was Garbage Version 2.0 at Ty’s house with Matt’s portable CD burner. I can’t imagine it didn’t take all day to acquire the files form the service, transfer files that were reduced to a now-unthinkably-low bit rate, and burn the bastard at something like 2X speed. It was brilliance. More importantly, it was rewarding. This sort of file-sharing has stuck with me to this day, which is why I download entire discographies of people like Lil Wayne or The Mars Volta and just delete what I don’t love, just poking around to hear new things. The technology had a lasting impact that changed the way music worked forever.
Because Metallica couldn’t kill that. They were able to shut Napster down, ultimately failing because they didn’t realize they were in the middle of an industry-wide shift. And they looked like greasy, greedy fools to everyone out there, especially the fans who knew that Metallica only started getting gigs when they encouraged copies of their tape – titled Metal Up Your Ass – to circulate in the California underground tape trade.
Metallica then joined Michael Jackson in the pool of artists whose songs are interrupted with: “This is still awesome even though [they might molest children/they love money more than their fans]” when they are played during parties.
When Metallica released a live album with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, titled SM, the real fans kind of forgave them. Metallica looked to be over, they were rounding the career-horn, mining their material. Then Jason Newsted quit and I shut the lid; they might have been assholes, but their catalog was still solid, totally enjoyable (Master of Puppets? Still awesome.).
But they didn’t stay dead. Like really greedy zombies, they released St. Anger. They took Ozzy Osbourne’s bassist (and Ozzy got Jason Newstead in an ironic twist), did a live show in San Quentin and must have been partially deaf if they thought a snare drum should sound like an anvil for a whole goddamned album.
For the brief, financially woeful period I was sharing a bed with Nate Patterson, he woke me up with St. Anger only once. But the first thing I saw on some weekday morning was Nate standing over me, over-enthusiastically head-banging with his tongue out (and flapping) while thrusting the rock hand signal in the general vicinity of my face. Nate also woke me up with music from the WarCraftII PC Game, Hanson and a Slipknot track that is only screaming and distortion. Just to give you an idea of how much of a joke St. Anger was.
And for those of us not ready to hate Metallica because they made a bad album, Metallica released a documentary called Some Kind Of Monster about the making of St. Anger. Any respect I had for the men making the music that was, for so long, the soundtrack to my life was sucked out of me as if the movie was a Dementor from Harry Potter. Any good feelings I had about Metallica were sucked out of me and all I had were the sad, greasy feelings that I had been fooled by alcoholic complainers (James), spoiled whiners (Lars) and passive girly/robot men (Kirk) [to degrees, all descriptions overlap beyond the specified member]. Watching them all argue over lyrics they were writing together, or watching Kirk record his guitars and then leave James and Lars to argue over the stupidest alpha-male bullshit made me think that they had drunkenly stumbled their way into awesome metal music. They seemed, both on screen and on the album, like they were just throwing their musical feces against the wall, hoping to pile on enough logs to resemble the Mona Lisa if it was painted with shit by Jackson Pollack.
I’ve listened to most of the their new album, Death Magnetic, and I can’t not hate it. I hate them and I hate that they just kind of hope shit works out. I think Coldplay is (in the least offensive way ever, but just as a term in the common vernacular – and I know I shouldn’t even propagate the usage, but it’s so fitting) gay every time I read about them arguing over the track listing for their newest whatever release. But it’s a process that at least outwardly looks like a collaboration between musicians, showmen and businessmen, not some sort of I-Was-A-Teenage-Rockstar daycare: Metallica.
Their newest crime that motivated me to write the above mind-vomit? They’ve titled one of their tracks “The Unforgiven III” for reasons unknown. I suspect that they thought this would trick us into thinking: “This is like old Metallica,” which is their push for this album. But they left out the rising horn introduction that opened both “The Unforgiven” on the classic Black Album and “The Unforgiven II,” which itself was trying to send the “classic” message during their reinvention on Load and ReLoad, but at least they used the damn intro! This one’s bridge is literally: “Forgive me/Forgive-me-nots.”
I mean? Am I older and realizing it was always like this or does this suck more than usual?
That’s the quandary. What’s not is that the boys of Metallica remain The Unforgiven IV.
That’s how I’d end this piece if I was Dan Rather.

On the day travel companies reported a surge of people taking an overseas holiday, the Bank of England issued yet another warning that the British economy could be in recession within the next six months.
And in Europe, countries like Germany and France along with other members of the Eurozone, reported that their economies had actually got smaller in the last quarter.
But despite clear warnings of hard times ahead for the next year at least, nothing it would appear seems to stop the British taking their holidays.
A recent report shows that British tourists spent around 64 billion sterling (around 100 billion US dollars) between them last year - pretty impressive for a country with a population of 60 million people.
And at a time when belt tightening is recommended by finacial institutions to weather the storm ahead, around a third of British families spend ten per cent or more of their disposable incomes on holidays, with many explaining that they live for their holidays - and the survey proves this to be the case.
A British company who run European travel related internet sites say that In times of gloom, a holiday is something people can look forward to. It reminds them of happier times in the past and of good times to come - were not surprised that holidays are regarded as an essential rather than a luxury item when it comes to planning the family budget.
And while the holidays industry might be relieved to read that British people intend to keep spending their money on holidays, they will need to keep their finger on the pulse of the travelling public as Britains economic downturn could shift where they are heading.
Up until recently Spain was a clear winner for British tourists, and the island of Majorca was the most popular destination. This changed in 2008 as the British pound slipped in value against the Euro, and suddenly Turkey - which has her own currency and was still good value for tourists when buying their holiday money - overtook Majorca for the number 1 spot.
There are some areas in the 15 countries that make up the Eurozone though that have done well this summer despite the poor currency exchange rate for the British tourist - Malta is one example.
Low cost flights helped turn Maltas tourism industry round from being in the doldrums just three years ago to one now that is doing well and is confident of the future.
The former British colony is popular not just because it is in the Mediterranean - like Majorca - but it is easy for the British to adjust as soon as they step out of the airport. The language is English and the cars drive on the same side of the road for example.
Paceville is the nightlife capital of Malta. Most of the venues of Paceville are located on four main streets that spread out from the main square. These streets are Dragonara Road, Wilga Street, St. Georges Road and St. Rita Steps. A police presence is always nearby, keeping the denizens of the clubs safe and orderly. A taxi rank is also located in the main square, for those who need a lift.
St. Pauls Bay is the ideal vacation spot for tourists who like some variety. Whether they want to take a meandering stroll around the harbour and look at the Mediterranean, to indulge in a coffee and something sweet, or simply to relax and take in some rays, St. Pauls Bay is a good Malta holidays area and has a range of hotels.
For eating out, St. Pauls Bay has a good choice of restaurants. The area is well appointed by many tourist-friendly cafes and restaurants. For a taste of more upscale dining there is Old St. Pauls Bay, where there are generally upmarket eateries, and all around the bay there are many good fish restaurants that serve up some of the best fish that Malta has to offer. For a little window shopping, tourists can take a stroll around the many shops located in the old village.
For a taste of the more modern side of the St. Pauls Bay region, there is the seafront at Bugibba, the hub of nightlife in the area. Here, there are a selection of trendy boutiques and restaurants. When the sun sets, Malta can go down market as well as up market and there are karaoke bars in Bugibba, but there is also the casino and a cinema.
With more British tourists visiting the island during their economic downturn, they might help the Malta economy through Europes recession - the Malta holidays industry will be glad the British regard their holidays as a necessity!
The British love affair with Malta is explained in more detail at yourmalta.

If you are one of those people who gets their Christmas shopping done early every year, you probably find yourself getting a great deal of mean looks from others around the holiday season. This is especially true if you make a habit of letting others know you have already finished your Christmas shopping. This happens because the vast majority of people do not get their Christmas shopping done early and may be envious of those who manage to finish their shopping early. The fact that most Christmas shoppers wait until the last minute is evident by the crowds who flock to malls and shopping centers in the final days before Christmas.
If you are one of these people who always finishes their Christmas shopping early you may already have a method to accomplishing this goal. However, if you are like the majority of people who spend every year last minute Christmas shopping this article will provide you with some tips for getting your Christmas shopping done early this year.
One of the best ways to get your Christmas shopping done early is to try to do a great deal of Christmas shopping for the next year in the first few days after Christmas. Although the stores are usually quite crowded on these days there is not the same sense of urgency which prevails in the days just before Christmas so the atmosphere is more relaxed. Additionally, many stores are holding sales so not only can you do a large portion of your shopping but you are also likely to save a great deal of money in the process. The first few days after Christmas are an excellent time to shop because you are likely still in the Christmas spirit.
Another way to get your Christmas shopping done early is to plan on doing all of your Christmas shopping online this year. This is an excellent idea because most retailers will wrap the item for you and ship it directly to the recipient. You will pay a little more for these services but the convenience of not having to do the wrapping yourself or stand in long lines at the post office is certainly worth the extra fee.
Committing to Christmas shopping online really helps you to get you shopping done early because you know you have to make your purchases early in order for them to arrive on time.
Another way to get your Christmas shopping done early is plan on purchasing two gifts for each person on your list at the time of their birthday. You can give them the first gift for their birthday and store the other item away until Christmas. This is a great idea because it helps you to get your shopping done early so you can avoid the hassle of going to overcrowded malls and shopping centers and searching for last minute Christmas gifts.
If you follow this simple strategy when the Christmas season arrives, you will already have most, if not all, of your Christmas gifts purchased already and you can spend your time relaxing and enjoying the holiday season instead of running around trying to find the perfect gift for each person on your list.
While this strategy is effective it is important to note you could be destined to some last minute shopping if you have people on your list who have birthdays in late December. In this case you will have to plan ahead and purchase their birthday gift and their Christmas gift early.

Elderly people and those that are physically limited find stair lifts to be a blessing and very useful. There is nothing more frustrating than having to ask a friend or family member to help you up the stairs when you need to go upstairs, or if you need help getting back down. Many people find it difficult to climb stairs in those situations, and it can be depressing not going upstairs at all. Stair lifts work by attaching to something, and then lifting the person up the stairs safely.

Since safety is the most important thing to keep in mind, you do not want to buy just any cheap stair lift. Low-quality stair lifts can break or stop working at anytime; even while in use. Stair lifts are necessary if the person who needs help cannot walk up stairs safely.

It is not advisable to purchase a used stair lift from random individuals. This can be dangerous, because you really have no idea how it works. Even if you test it at their home, it could be in working condition at that moment and malfunction later on. If you have to buy one from another person, make sure to do a thorough inspection, and look for signs of damage to the walls.

Some stair lifts have weight restrictions and many can only hold up to 250 pounds. There are some people who weigh more, but need help traversing stairs. It is recommend that if you are large, find a quality stair lift that can hold your weight. You can usually find specially designed stair lifts in specialty stores, and places that make custom products.

Another thing to look for is one that will fit your stairs properly. Most stair lifts are intended for usage on stairs that are just straight up and a slant. Curved or winding staircases will need special stair lifts. It is important to inquire about them if you need a special kind. There are also special stair lifts for stairs that are not attached to walls directly.

Another sign of a quality stair lift is easy to use functions, and solid materials. Some companies may use filler materials that weaken the product. This can be dangerous, especially if the product malfunctions while in use. Make sure you know what kind of materials it was made of, and test out the functions beforehand if you are able to.

Closing Comments

Stair lifts are excellent to have, especially if you or your loved one needs it to be mobile. It allows the person in need to be independent as well as able to go upstairs without any assistance.

After a great, awesome, overwhelming and fantastic vacation we are now back in Dubai and ready for a detailed report (including lots of pictures and videos) from Australia Singapore.

Within the last three weeks we were on 7 flights, drove 2,800 km by car (made also some experience with the police - yes they are stricter than in Austria), participated on a couple of tours, spent lots of time on the water (ferrys, sailing boat, speed boats, river cruises...) and did many activities.

MELBOURNE
After two flights (7hrs each - DXB - SIN / SIN-MEL) we had a great airport pick up from Kate and Henry's Dad David. We stayed the first three night at the Dyer's and really enjoyed it there. Melbourne is a great city and there is lots to do and lots to see.

#3 - Staycations, which are a combination of the words and have grown in popularity with many people during recent years. Staycations refer to vacations taken at or close to home, because with climbing gas prices and tighter family budget, many people have found them to be a wonderful, affordable alternative to a vacation away from home, Because you can take these types of vacations on a strict budget, they can be more relaxing and memorable than distant vacations.
One staycation idea that many people choose is to stay in a 4 or 5 star luxury hotel in your nearest large city. Youll save on airfares or wont be paying for several tanks of gas to reach your destination, and a top class hotel could be well within your budget. After youve had your vacation, you only have a short drive until youre home again.
You can also choose to stay at home and visit local attractions for your staycation. Check local travel information for tourist attraction ideas. You can attend a local sports event, visit a museum, eat at a new restaurant, or go to a nearby amusement park. The best part is you wont need to pack a suitcase.

This review covers the top of the line massage chair from Omega Massage. Their new Montage Premier massage chair is evaluated in this product review. We will cover 5 important areas in reviewing this recliner. We look at warranty, ergonomics, ease of use, key features and massage therapy. We score each category up to 20 points and then provide an overall rating out of a possible 100 points. Here is an in depth look at the Montage Premier massage recliner.

Warranty Customer Service: For the consumer, the warranty is a form of risk reduction. In any transaction, one party takes on more risk than the other. The warranty is to reduce the risk of the consumer and balance out the transaction. Therefore, warranty is especially important on higher ticket items. The Montage Premier is backed by one of the best warranties available. Omega Massage gives you 5 years on the frame, 3 years on parts, 3 years labor and 90 days in-home service. Omega also covers any parts shipping expense for one year. This is a more comprehensive warranty than any reputable manufacturer. From a customer service standpoint, Omega has a national warranty call center and is responsive and technically competent with minimal turnaround times. The Montage Premier earns a 19 in Warranty Customer.

Comfort Ergonomics: The ergonomic design of this chair is well done. The chair comes with a 4 inch leg rest extension. The recliner is wheelchair accessible for users that are physically challenged. The controls are very accessible and this chair comes with the first wireless sub remote. This provides excellent convenience as most of the controls are available on the sub remote. The chair is comfortable to sit in. It can fit individuals who are 6' 6" and has a weight limit of 300 pounds. We score this a 19.

Ease of Use: One thing is for sure, more features and options are being added into massage chairs, which is great. However, as more features are introduced manufacturers need design the products to be easy and intuitive to understand. We have seen our share of complex controllers that only cause frustration with users. The Montage Premier comes equipped with many advanced features and many manual massage options. Omega introduces a wheel button for adjusting the footrest and chair back. The wireless remote is controls virtually 80 percent of the chair functions and is the size of a credit card. Manual controls are still located in the side panel of the main remote, but you have great controls with the convenient sub remote. This is the only chair that you do not have to get up when laid back in the chair to make adjustments. The Montage Elite earns a 19 in Ease of Use.

Key Features: Out of the myriad of wonderful features, we will focus on two of them. The lower body traction and the reflexology foot massage are two outstanding features in this massage recliner. The lower body traction system can be activated at any time. It will seamless work with the automatic programs. This function stretches the lower body from the hips, thighs, knees, calves and ankles. The legrest lowers to 3 successive positions each time stretching you out just right. The reflexology foot massage incorporates Omega's footflex technology. This unique system uses airbags and reflexology nodes to gentle but firmly push up into the arch and then the heal of the feet. Other air bags provide a firm compression massage over the tops of the feet. This is absolutely wonderful after a long day on your feet. These features earn a 19 in this category.

Massage Therapy: There is an arsenal of massage therapy options with this massage recliner. It has 5 automatic full body massage programs. There are 4 manual massage techniques. There are 6 manual massage back courses. The lower body is covered with air compression massage for the hands, arms, feet, calves, thighs, buttocks and hips. You can adjust the speed of the massages to 4 different levels and there are 4 width adjustments for the back rollers. To enhance the massage experience, there is the lower body stretching, music, and full body heat therapy. If you have an ache or pain, this recliner can provide you thorough relief. This is the most complete massage chair on the market today and we give it a full 20 points for massage therapy.

This impressive massage chair earns a 96/100 in our evaluation. The Montage Premier has solid massage therapy. It covers most everywhere to effectively relieve and soothe tired and aching muscles. You get outstanding warranty coverage direct from the factory without the need to purchase an extended warranty. There are the additional treatments of full body heat with individual heating controls for the chair back, seat and leg rest. Get stretched out with the lower body traction system. Relax and drift off with the included headphones to your favorite music. If you are in the market for a massage chair in this range, then this is one of the top contenders.

An underappreciated source of today's high medical care costs is the medical claim adjudication process that is employed by commercial payers. The current process is intentionally fraught with unnecessary hurdles and pitfalls that save the payers money by lowering the amount they reimburse physicians and facilities. Well designed medical billing processes from medical billing companies and medical offices can eliminate the profitability of the current adjudication process and streamline the entire insurance reimbursement process.

Although the issue of claims processing is mentioned as one of the sources of rising healthcare costs, the true economic drivers that are keeping the current inefficient and opaque processes in place has not been well explored. The fact of the matter is that the current process prey's upon the technology, process and staffing limitations of most physician offices to take money from the physicians and give it to the payers. The result is rising costs and following revenues for the average medical provider.

The tactics used by payers to save money (and drive up the cost for medical practices to operate a medical billing process) include: Underpaying over 10% of medical claims, "losing" submitted claims on a regular basis, and constantly changing the rules by which they decide if claims are actually payable. If the provider's medical billing process is not technology savvy, well designed and properly staffed then over 20% of the practice's revenue can easily be lost to these tactics.

Payers have strong incentives to utilize these tactics to lower their costs. More than 50% of the claims that are underpaid or lost by payers are never pursued by physicians and facilities. Since the payers can save significant money by losing claims and accidently underpaying they have strong motivation to make the billing process difficult.

Nothing is free, so payers do incur a price on their end because of the current process. It cost about $25 when a payer that has spotted an underpaid or missing claim gets a insurance representative on the phone. This has lead payers to get quite clever and grade each medical provider. The grade is based upon how well the provider spots issues and calls the payer (thus generating costs for the payers). If the provider catches the payers "mistake" each time they will be rated an A. If they never catch the payer's errors they will receive a F. Interestingly, the payers that are rated an F seem to have many more lost and underpaid claims than those rated an A.

As soon as payers see the economic motivation of losing and underpaying claims disappear, they will be forced to adopt acclaim adjudication process that is easier and cost significantly less for medical providers. The way to make this happen is to ensure that each provider is rated an A. This is why improved medical billing processes are a key weapon in the fight against rising healthcare costs.

If the medical practices and medical billing services dig in and fight for the last dollar on every claim they will quickly force the insurance payers to adjust their internal processes. With each claim paying in full and their staff inundated with billing specialist asking why a claim was lost or underpaid, the payers will see rapidly shrinking profits that will force them to acknowledge that the costs of the games they play are no longer justified by the savings form unpaid claims.

Many companies and individuals are dreaming of the day when the medical billing process disappears entirely and claims are adjudicated in real-time while the patient is standing at the checkout desk. In this system significant costs will be saved, but the system will never emerge until payers no longer have an incentive to play games with medical claims. Medical billing companies and medical providers can make this happen by insuring that all providers are rated A in the eyes of each payer.

Historically, car sales people have been cast in an unbecoming light not too different from that of asnake oil vendorsa in the past. Breaking out of the car salesperson stereotype involves improving your skills in dealing with customers and is essential to increasing your car sales totals. Enhancing customer relations and sales skills will help you improve your ability to gain the trust of customers and eventually close a sales deal with them.
Sales skills are an obvious must for a car salesperson. In the auto sales business, having charm and a likeable personality are great assets only if they help you sell cars. There are many options for improving your sales skills, including self-help books, seminars, courses, and motivational programs. By taking a sales training program, you may discover a thing or two which could make all the difference in your ability to make more sales each day.
Some sales people have learned all the sales know-how from the best, yet they are hindered by a lack of apeople skills.a Such salespeople, and even those who are natural charmers, would benefit greatly by learning how to be more personable, approachable and believable. People skills also include knowing how to areada different personalities in order to address their needs and gain trust. If customers trust you, they will like you, too. Such customers are more interested in your opinion and more likely to be happily satisfied after you close a deal with them.
You can be an even better car salesperson if you combine your improving sales and people skills with being highly knowledgeable about your product, that is, cars. If you do not understand and have sufficient knowledge of your product, customers will neither stay interested nor trust you and you will be cast back into that undesirable car salesperson stereotype. Appropriate knowledge of the cars you sell will enhance your ability to help customers find the right cars for them, thus leading to more satisfying sales deals and more sustainable relationships with the customers.
By having a desirable combination of sales skills, a personable approach to customers and a good bank of knowledge about the cars you are selling, you will become better at closing deals and having happy buyers. Happy buyers will tell others about their positive and satisfying experiences while buying a car from you, and you will enjoy a growing number of potential buyers landing on your doorstep from referrals.
These are the kind of invaluable skills you can learn in programs that teach in how to sell for the car salesperson. Investing just a short amount of time and money in your career in the beginning into training, and you can create a very profitable, fun, and easy job for the rest of your life.
Even if you go through the most complete and rigorous sales training programs early in your career as a car salesperson, you should continue to seek additional training and further development of all your sales skills. Having an open mind and learning new ways to approach customers and close sales throughout your career will benefit you not only in your car sales capabilities, but also in your personal endeavors.
It is worth noting that employers and other higher-ups will notice and approve of your efforts to stay on top and ahead of the car sales game. Your self-starting methods and energy for making sales and keeping happy customers will be considered assets to the dealership and may even result in bonuses, higher-level and higher-paying positions and overall job stability and enjoyment.

INTRODUCTION: Migraine is a disease, a headache is only a symptom. These headaches, with nausea and vomiting, normally start in childhood and tend to becomes less severe and frequent with age. They can happen any time of the day, though they often begins in the A.M.. The pain is caused by vasodilation in the cranial blood vessels (expansion of the blood vessels), while Headache pain is produced by vasoconstriction (narrowing of the blood vessels). The disease characteristics can include: Pain often on one side of the head with a pulsating or throbbing feeling, Moderate to intense pain affecting daily activities, Nausea or vomiting, Sensitivity to light or sound.

Attacks usually last from four hours to 3 days, sometimes longer and visual disturbances or aura Exertion such as climbing stairs makes the headaches worse. Approximately 20% of sufferers experience aura, the warning associated with migraine, prior to the headache pain. It is often mis-diagnosed as sinus headaches or tension-type headaches and affects up to 15% of the population. Migraines can induce a host of serious physical conditions including strokes, aneurysms, permanent visual loss, severe dental problems, coma and even death. Sufferers experience not only excruciating pain, but social ostracism, job loss, disruption of personal relationships, and prejudices in the workplace. These headaches seem to be caused in part by changes in the level of a body chemical called serotonin and they are not the same in all people.

SYMPTOMS: May include Modest to severe pain on one or both sides of the head, Pulsating or throbbing pain, Pain that worsens with physical activity, Nausea with or without vomiting, Sensitivity to light or sound. Approximately 20 percent of these persons experience what's called an aura prior to the headache pain. Symptoms of an aura include flashes of light, zig zags, or blind spots in your eyesight or tingling in one arm or leg. With a Classic migraine, a patient has these visual symptoms 10 to 30 minutes prior an attack: sees flashing lights or zigzag lines, has blind spots or loses vision for a short period of time. With a common migraine, a person does not have an aura, but does have the other signs, such as nausea and vomiting. Women also tend to report higher levels of pain, longer headache time, and greater number of symptoms, such as nausea and vomiting.

TREATMENT: Treatment is divided into eliminating particular triggers, management of the specific attack, and long-term prevention. There are two basic ways to treat migraine headaches with drugs: prevent the attacks, or relieve the symptoms during the attacks. Many people use both forms of treatment. Other home treatment methods can help, such as doing relaxation techniques and using cold packs. In your headache diary (you should keep one), make a list of home treatment methods that work for you in different situations.

Alternative medical treatments with medications belonging to the group known as the Phenothiazines have proven useful as non-analgesic options for treating severe headaches.

At present, there is no recognized cure for the disease, only treatments for the symptoms. Furthermore, such treatments are not yet totally effective and sufferers may show a decreased tolerance to a variety of medications, treatments, and pain control regimens. As always, talk with your physician about what sets off your headaches and to help find the proper treatment for you.

CONCLUSION: Migraine is a true neurological disease and often becomes worse in the first trimester of pregnancy, but many women are headache-free later in their pregnancy. This disease and epileptic seizure disorders are also interrelated. People who suffer from these headaches are frequently dismissed as neurotic complainers who are unable to handle stress. It is the second most common type of headache syndrome in the United States and is most commonly found in women, with a 3 to 1 female-to-male ratio. They can continue through the 30s and 40s.

Migraines afflict 28 million Americans, with women suffering more frequently (17%) than men (6%). This kind of headache is one of the most common problems seen in emergency rooms and doctor's offices. Occurrence among females increases sharply up to age 40 years and then decreases gradually. Headaches tend to run in families, indicating that genetic factors contribute to a persons susceptibility to the condition.

The National Headache Foundation recommends you talk to your MD about your headaches IF: you have several a month and each lasts for several hours or days, disrupts your home, work, or school life, you have nausea, vomiting, vision, or other sensory problems. Tests can be run to determine if you have migraine or not. Prior your appointment, write down: how frequently you have headaches, where the pain is, how long they last, when do they happen, such as during your menstrual cycle, other symptoms, such as nausea or blind spots, any family history of the condition. By just talking with your MD, you may be able to supply enough information to diagnose migraine.

In the early light of morning, I made my way to the giant gazebo at the Red Mountain Spa to join other guests for a hike in the surrounding red rock bluffs of Snow Canyon State Park in southern Utah. One of the very special things about this spa is its emphasis on the great outdoors, its multi-level hikes over and around various paths and more challenging terrain for the more experienced hiker all led by knowledgeable guides. Each day brought a new adventure as we investigated various areas of the nearly 6,000 acre parkland where hikers enjoy an amazing display of desert animal life, plants and rock formations that vary from twisting spires of red Navajo Sandstone, carved canyons, lava flows and lava caves. The Red Mountain agenda also offered trips to explore the spectacular nearby Zion National Park, rock climbing, bicycling, canyoneering and newly introduced Nordic walking.
This was my second visit to Red Mountain and I was pleased to discover new activities and amenities enhancing both adventure and pampering options. I also discovered more male guests. During my prior visit I encountered a totally distaff guest population. This time it consisted of around 30% masculine attendees, some solo and some as 1/2 of a couple.
One morning, I broke from the traditional hike to participate in a Pound Puppy Hike. A small group of guests were driven to Ivins tiny no kill animal rescue shelter where we were introduced to Robin Kirker, a former east coast horse trainer, now lovingly in charge of dogs and cats of all sizes and shapes. Since puppies are always the first to be adopted, our group of dogs was more mature. My pet for the morning was Sugar, a darling black and white border collie who enjoyed my rather brisk pace leading the pack along a path through Padre Canyon stopping for water and treats along the way.
Back at Red Mountain, I checked the schedule for upcoming classes which I could squeeze in between one on one appointments both in the fitness center and the new dome spa. Personal training sessions with two instructors, Rebecca and Chrissie gave me information and instruction on how better to use my work out schedule both at Red Mountain and back at home. Apparently I have not been using my time wisely for the past several years in fitness alley. It was back to basics for the most part: a physio ball, a bosu, a stretchy resistance bands were the preferred pieces of equipment for my workout rather than the machines. The one new contraption which I was introduced to and was told had become very popular was the TRX (Total Resistance Training) which had me using my own strength and body weight to burn calories and tighten up muscles. The TRX consisted of straps and handles and were portable allowing it to be hung from an inside or outside metal bar. I gave it a try and found it amazingly versatile and efficient.
I also received a lesson in Nordic walking and how, done properly, this activity burns 40% more calories and tightens a lot more body parts than a basic hike. The class took place on a paved path where I learned the proper way to drag the poles behind me, then push off rather than pull as in hiking.
One of my favorite places to spend time and be pampered was at the Sagestone spa and salon, housed in a geodesic dome. The extensive menu of services featured a choice of more than 20 types of massages plus spa packages. Hydrating, detox, scrubs, manicures, pedicures and make up lessons were also available. The eclectic Spa Tapas offered a sampling of signature Sagestone Spa and Salon treatments including hand reflexology, chair massage, Blackberry hand massage and wax treatment, bone density testing and even palm reading.
One balmy evening at sunset, 30 or so guests were driven to an area known as Snow Canyon where we hiked up to a special spot over swirling patterns of red sandstone. Bud Howard led us in a beginners version of Tai Chi. The lilting Native American music emanating from his portable CD, his calm voice and the magnificent surroundings as we stood barefoot on the smooth rock surface and learned the motions and their meaning made for a calming and most memorable experience.
As a change of pace one day I signed up for the very popular cooking class. Although I am not much into the culinary arts, I did so enjoy the comedic antics of Chef Dale Van Sky and picked up some helpful cooking hints in spite of myself such as using a spray bottle to coat a pan with cooking oil which saves a lot of calories. The food at Red Mountain is healthy and delicious and I marveled at the low calorie tasty treats including a beautiful 70 calorie frozen mango passion fruit mousse.
During my stay I popped in on various yoga classes, power pilates, a hip hop class, a stretch class and a knock yourself out to music and lose your inhibitions class called NIA, the Joy of Movement.
I delighted in walking through the lush grounds of Red Mountain past bubbling fountains and streams and beneath towering trees, often with net hammocks at their base. Several evenings, before retiring to my villa, I positioned myself in a swaying hammock situated next to a stream where I spent quite a bit of time looking up at the starry sky and thinking quiet thoughts.
My stunning villa could have comfortably accommodated four people and I thought that it would be perfect for a girls getaway with two queen beds, two bathrooms, a large living space with kitchen amenities and even and washer and dryer. It also featured an outdoor terrace running the entire length of the villa and overlooking one of the swimming pools.
My stay at Red Mountain offered a plethora of options. I could explore some of the wests most scenic National Parks, hike, be pampered, participate in a variety of classes or have private instruction. The magnificent surroundings of Red Mountain, the warmth of the staff, the healthy and delicious meals, and the quiet all contributed to my perfect getaway.

Planning a trip to a far off destination can be a lot of fun. But if you dont plan ahead, you can sometimes end up with a bad travel deal or some bad timing when you want to see some special events on your trip. This is why it is important to utilize the internet in order to plan your trip. You can get free travel guides and free travel brochures right from the internet so that you can get a great overview of nearly any major tourist destination anywhere in the world.
Planning a trip online will usually save you money. You can save a lot of money when you book your flight, hotel, and rental car (if needed) all from a single website. And many of these websites can give you an overview of the major tourist attractions that are in the city, mainly near where you are staying. They will also provide you with orientation as where you will be located from the airport.
The main concern for people that use the internet to plan travel is to find a website that will cater to your own philosophy about travel and the price that you want to pay. If you find a great, comprehensive site, but all it can offer you is information on five star hotels and swanky restaurants for two, you may not want to use this particular website to plan your family vacation.
If you are working with a tight budget, you can still travel in nearly any city in the world. All you have to do it think outside the box for money saving strategies. If you want to head somewhere warm and tropical, think about trading in your plane ticket for a room of a cruise. Cruises can be much more affordable and you will be able to cover a lot of ground quickly. And if you are worried about hotel costs once you get to your destination, you can explore different options for housing such as house swapping with someone who wants to go to your home and stay for a vacation, or think about couch surfing if you feel safe doing that.
If you want to find a lot of free events and attractions to attend while you are on your vacation, you will want to utilize the local chamber of commerce or city run websites. These will list all of the upcoming events, and things like parades and festivals that celebrate something unique are usually free to the public. Most of these festivals will happen in the summer and fall months, so you will want to plan the timing of your vacation accordingly.
And to make sure you are safe when traveling, you will want to check the US Department of State travel website for any warning and travel advisories for US citizens. Its not always an ideal situation to travel to an area where US citizens are not welcome.

When faced with having to make a speech and you have little or no experience of speaking in public, it is inevitable that you will want to pick up as many tips on speech building and presentation as you can. In fact, if you could only discover those hints and tips that were able to convey some sort of 'magic furmula' you would be overjoyed!

The reality, however, is frequently somewhat different.

No matter how hard you might try to make your speech a brilliant one, it is more than likely that you will make one, or all, of the three most common assumptions about speech-making - and all of them will be wrong.

Assumption No.1:

That all audiences are hostile towards speakers and that in order for your speech to be successful, you will need to win their approval.

In practice, the opposite is the case. Your audience actually wants you to deliver a good and entertaining speech. Human nature dictates that we will experience a degree of another person's discomfort when we witness it. If, when on stage, you are experiencing embarrassment or nervousness when speaking to your audience, then they will be sharing your feelings too.

No audience wants to feel bad on your behalf, so instead of being hostile towards you, they are actually willing you to make a really good and confident speech.

Assumption No.2:

That one of the main tips on public speaking is that you need to include a number of jokes or anecdotes in every speech you make.

Wrong - although this little gem will crop up on just about every list of public speaking tips you might come across. A successful speech really does not need to be humorous.

After all, if you were an absolute ace at telling jokes and stories, you'd be a professional comedian, right? But most of us have great difficulty in even remembering a punchline, let alone be able to deliver it with style, so why make delivering your speech even more stressful than it already is by trying to carry off three or four 'funny' stories just for their own sake?

Assumption No.3:

That you need to be an expert on the topic you are speaking about or your audience will boo you off the stage

Again, this is a commonly held but completely erronious belief and is completely incorrect. In fact, you really don't need to know much about your topic and still be able to deliver a really good and entertaining speech.

What is vital to know, however, is how to research your topic well, so that you are able to discover the best and most relevant material possible for your audience's delight. If you can master this skill - and it is simply a matter of learning the correct research technique - you will soon be able to construct a speech on any topic and for any audience easily, successfully and for time after time.

So, before you begin your search for a list of 'magic' tips on public speaking, make sure you get rid of these three, completely misleading speech-making assumptions.

Remind yourself that your audience isn't hostile towards you - they actively want you to succeed and deliver the best and most entertaining speech they have ever heard. After all, they want to feel good on your behalf - not bad.

Secondly, that there is no absolute requirement that you need to include jokes and stories in your speech. Unless you really do feel at ease telling anecdotes and can deliver punchlines faultlessly, don't put yourself under extra stress trying to be a comedian as well as a speech-maker.

And finally, don't struggle in the belief that you must be an expert on the subject you are speaking about. Your only duty is to deliver your speech well and in doing so, your audience will unquestioningly accept that you are well versed in your subject. This can be achieved by thorough and focussed preparation and research before starting to construct your speech - a much more achievable task than attaining true, expert status, wouldn't you agree?

So, when looking for tips on public speaking, first rid yourself of these three, common misconceptions and you will have already made good headway towards your goal of delivering a successful, entertaining and informative speech for your audience.
